MOODBIDRI THIRTH BOARDING AND LODGEING FECILITY

Amenities in Moodbidri for pilgrims and tourists:
There are guest houses and inns with modern facilities like western toilets and A/C for pilgrims to stay overnight at Shri Digambar Jain Mutt. There are facilities for food and rest. Pilgrims can also do self-cooking. Hundreds of pilgrims can stay or take rest and refresh at once. For special attention of the pilgrims:
Shri Digambar Jain Mutt, Moodbidri is the center of activities under the leadership and guidance of His Holiness Swastishri Charukeerti Bhattaraka Panditacharyavarya Mahaswamiji, the Head of the Holy Digambar Jain Seat of Moodbidri. Shri Jain Mutt is engaged in Chaturvidha Dana (four-fold charity) and propagation of the ideals and principles of Jainism. Its services are available for pilgrims round the clock. All Basadis in Moodbidri are open from 6. 00 am to 9. 30 am. The oldest Basadi, Guru Basadi or Siddhanta Basadi, and the world-famous Thousand Pillar Basadi are open from 7. 00 am to 6. 00 pm in the evening. On special occasions like Shravan Shukravar, Dashalakshana, and Navaratri Pooja, all basadis would be open from morning to 9.30 at night. On prior notice, any one or all Basadis would be kept open at any time during day or night for the convenience of people to offer pooja, abhisheka etc. upon receipts obtained from Shri Jain Mutt.
Be A Samrakshak of the Moodbidri Holy Kshetra
Pilgrims are requested to contribute liberally to the Akshaya Dhruva Nidhi of Shri Jain Mutt and earn boundless merit (punya).
1.                 Contribute Rs. 100,001 (Rupees one lakh and one) and become Shiromani Samrakshak of the Kshetra.
2.                 Contribute Rs. 51, 001 (Rupees fifty-one and one) and become Param Samrakshak of the Kshetra.
3.                 Contribute Rs. 25,001 (Rupees twenty-five thousand and one) and become Samrakshak of the Kshetra.
4.                 Contribute Rs. 15, 000 (Rupees fifteen thousand) and become Special Member of the Kshetra.for five years
5.                 Contribute Rs. 2,100 (Rupees two thousand one hundred) and become member of the Kshetra.for a year
