Jainism and Quality of Life
Quality of life is essential as the
Jain texts describes. Positive thinking is to be followed in all aspects.
Nonviolence, Truth, faith, Nonstealing, togetherness are few basic principles
to be followed in life. Simple living, no bad habits like alcoholism, tobacco,
drugs to be consumed. Pure Vegetarinism should be practiced throughout life.
Quality
of life respected by all. Shravaka dharma leads to success. Indriya Nigraha,
Sayyam, tapa or dhyana are purifying the soul or Atma. No harmful acts should
be curbed. Even Astra-Shastra (weapons) discarded. The human life itself is a
blessings of God.
Jain texts
explains VRITA-NIYAMA. It is a roadmap for all humanbeings. Satya (truth),
Ahimsa (non violence), Achworya (Non stealing), Brahmacharya (celibacy) and Aparigraha
(non possessiveness); These five objects are practices by Shravaka-Shraviki Dharma. He or she wil be
happy towards leading peaceful life. Jain religion is torch bearer to mankind.
The obstacles, troubles, problems, sorrowwness are not harming to Jains as they
solve these hurdles with courage. The mind is not disturbed. They do not harm
anybody or anything living. Thus quality of life improves day by day. Cordial
relationship with the society leads to happiness.
Reading
religions, philosophical books enlightens conducts. Honest, sincere, faithful,
obedient characters attracts in the society or family. Untoward acts should be
discarded. The concentration on work inspires to reach the goal. The Jainism
teaches a lot of theories to adopties life.
Life is a pleasure-share it
Life is a burden-bear it
Life is a duty-dare it
Life is a thorn crown-wear it.
Become Chakravarthin-King!
The life
should be virtue of self sacrifice. More desire, unwanted acts to posses others
treasure or assets should be curtailed. One should work hard, earn much and
save the asset meaningfully.
Moksha margasya netaram
Bhettaram karma bhubram
Jnataram Vishwa tattvanam
Vande tadguna labdhaye
May I be able to keep myself
occupied with the study of the scriptures, the adoration of the Jinas, the
company of the good, the talk of the virtues of those of noble conduct, speak
sweet and keeping silence about the faithings of others, and with the
contemplation of the nature of the self, till I attain Liberation. SO long as I
do not achieve Nirvana, may they Feet, O’ Lord Jina, stay enshrined in my heart
and my heart remain absorbed in They Holy Feet!
This prayer
is essential to enshrine the quality of life. The Jain religious books like
Samayasara, Ratnakarandaka Shravakachara, Tatvartha Suthra, Adi Purana, Dhavala
Triology, Bhakthamara Stuthi are to be read at the time of Swadhyaya. The
personality should be pure. Follow the VRITHA NIYAMAS, Perform Asta Vidha
Archana, Aradhanas. The quality of life will give a devine energy.
Doctors,
Professors, Engineers, Economists, Enterprisers, Industrialists, Scientists,
Employees, Students, Household women who belong jain community surely achieve
what they dream. Jain life is NOBLE!
